PREVIEW: Hockey Seeks Fourth Straight Win Tuesday against Hawks

THE MATCHUP: Southern New Hampshire hosts cross-town Northeast-10 opponent Saint Anselm Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m.

THE COACHES: Ken Hutchins is in his sixth season as head coach at SNHU...a 1987 graduate of SNHU, Hutchins previously served as an assistant for ten years before assuming the role as Head Coach..Hutchins has also led the Penmen to an appearance in the championship game of the ECAC Division II/Northeast-10 Conference Tournament in 2000, 2001, 2005 and 2006... Ed Seney returns for his 11th season on the Hilltop in 2012-13...he was named the head coach at Saint Anselm on August 14, 2002...Seney earned his 300th career victory 7-1 win over Southern New Hampshire University...last season, Seney led the Hawks to their third straight NE-10 Conference Championship victory.

THE SERIES: The Penmen face the Hawks for the first time this season. Last year SNHU lost a pair of games to Saint Anselm.

THE PENMEN: SNHU is coming off its third straight win and second shutout in three games as the Penmen beat Assumption College 2-0 Saturday...Tyler Holske totaled 25 saves in net on the night, and? has notched 417 saves on the season for a .893 save percentage...Jim Gabrione leads the Penmen offense with seven goals and 10 assists for 17 points...Joe Collins has contributed seven goals and nine assists on the season for 16 points, while Dane Caracino and Steven Berry have each added 12 points on the season.

THE HAWKS: Saint Anselm is coming off of two losses to Saint Michael's and Norwich...Liam McKillop and Mike Richard each add 23 points to the Hawk offense...McKillop has totaled 15 goals along with eight assists, while Richard adds 14 goals and nine assists...Tim King has scored five goals while contributing 15 assists for 20 points, while Joe Tebano has added six goals and 12 assists on the season...in net for the Hawks, Robert Kang has seen the majority of time while saving 331 shots for a .904 save percentage.

WHAT'S NEXT: The Penmen return to action Saturday, February 9 when they travel to Stonehill College for a league matchup at 4:10 p.m.
